White flowers are my favourite, especially lovely in the evening - this is a wild rose out in the hedgerows now. I like the blush colour on the petals and the orangey brown stamens. As Max and I walked back down the lane I noticed quite a few escaped garden flowers like white foxgloves which I used to have in our garden but they didn't last - seemed to revert to the more common mauve colour after the first year. The natural world is very subversive. I think I might pick some for the house as revenge at the weekend. I think I could probably get a quite a good bouquet for free at this time of year.
