Plough Monday

So here we are nearly Plough Monday; back to work tomorrow. I found this print on the Pedlars site I have mentioned before and remember reading the words at school, wondering why we city girls in London, were looking at this. Written in the 15th century, of course most work was agricultural so in modern times we need to substitute some of the words. We do not work the land but we do work and the sentiments have a strong resonance with me.
I like the bit about ‘shearing my own fleece ‘- that would translate as making things myself maybe. And the plough? Could have fun with this ...
I like the rhyme too.
